Middle Leaders Course 2017-2018
The Education Offices of the four Trusts are collaborating to run a middle leadership course again in 2017-2018 for teachers interested in developing their leadership capacity.
It is open to all teachers; post holders and non-post holders.
Course Aims & Content
The aims of the course are:
- To develop teacher leadership in our schools
- To offer the opportunity for participation in learning networks
- To encourage continuing professional development
The course content will include the following;-
- Leadership in faith schools; exploration of values, ethos and ethical leadership
- Managing self and others; emotional and social intelligence, stress management and management of conflict and difficult situations
- Leading curriculum and assessment; working from a values base.
- Reflective practice and journaling; developing skills and practice of reflection and engaging in a small-scale school-based project
The venues for the course are
Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley, Dublin (5.00p.m.- 8.00p.m.)
Dates – October 11th / November 15th / November 29th 2017
January 24th / February 21st / March 14th 2018
The Claregalway Hotel, Galway
Dates – (Fri. Evening / Sat. Day) 20th & 21st October 2017
(5.00p.m.- 8.00p.m.) 7th February / 25th April 2018
