13 Mar care and pray for each other
A Chara,
As we proceed into unchartered waters we ask all to ‘care and pray for each other’. We offer solidarity to all working in healthcare.
For the information on the Coronavirus, contact the HSE website here.
As a Spiritan community, we encourage all to pray for each other, especially for those who are ill. We pray for all in public service, those in leadership and those at the frontlines – especially doctors, nurses and medical staff and others, including clergy. We ask that the Holy Spirit may guide and protect them as they place their gifts and talents at the service of others.
Extract from Saint Patrick’s Breastplate
Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
Prayer for Courage and Strength
Heavenly Father, I ask you to strengthen my mind, body and spirit today. When I’m weary, may I be refreshed. When I’m worn, may I be renewed. When I’m broken, may I be restored. When I’m fearful, may I become faithful. I pray that I walk in complete confidence today knowing that the Lord Almighty is with me. Amen.
