07 Oct A statement from the Spiritan Education Trust on the passing of James Docherty RIP.

Everyone across the Spiritan Network and family of schools is deeply shocked and saddened by the news that our dear friend and colleague, James Docherty, Principal of Willow Park Junior School, has passed away. Our sincerest sympathies, thoughts and love, are with his adored wife and his beautiful children, whom he cherished.

While the shock remains, we are doing all we can through the schools to ensure that the family is supported and that the schools themselves have everything they need to help the whole school community work through these difficult days.

James will be sorely missed and deeply mourned by his family and friends. He was our colleague, and we give thanks for all that he did as Principal of Willow Park. James was a teacher who loved teaching and who loved the students in his school. That love will endure. We give thanks to Almighty God for that love and for the leadership he showed within the Spiritan Education Trust.

May his soul rest in peace.
